We are back from Paradise.

Did you miss me? I bet you did! All 289,802 of you! OK, all 4 of you!! Me doing the Maxwell Smart thing again! LOL.
Kath and I had a thoroughly enjoyable time staying in Fiji, weather was amazing, its great when you can jump on a plane and go from 7ºC to something better like 29ºC within a few hours flying time and its like that all year round! Sheer paradise with crystal clear water, you can see your feet whilst you wade in the shallows and see bright blue fish dart about you, wondering 'What the heck are these lilly white things in the water!?!"
We took part in many activities such as snorkling, kayaking, coconut tasting, cocktail drinking (Pina Colatas YUM), boat cruises, market shopping, socialising with the indigenous locals as well as the many Aussies there as well, i swear Fiji is another state of Australia, nearly everyone is an Aussie apart from a few Kiwis (hey! they dont count) and a few Americans and Brits too, (Damn it! no Dutch this time!!!).
Disaster almost struck out on the reef as both of our snorkling gear was faulty (Kaths goggles had a crack and water was comimg in from the side, and my snorkle had a faulty mouthpiece.... things those Fijians dont consider important to check when they give you this equipment) and we were taken to the very deep parts of the reef. The current was very strong and we both got quite tired keeping ourseleves afloat, thankfully with the help of a fellow Aussie, she helped both Kath and I to safety. We made good friends with her and her family and hopefully we keep in touch. (if your reading this Tanya, thank you once again! Your the best!).
I did take many photographs too many to put online and I am now going through the video footage we took as well. (Wish I didnt use 16:9 format now as I am experincing some transition problems in iMovie, I'll nut out another way!)
Anyway the break was far too short, next time we go there, we may make it something like 30 years.

Grechy! I'm glad you had a good time. As one of your four friends, I bid you: Welcome back! I can't wait to see more photos. I can't imagine what would beat you with a flower in your (ahem!) hair, though.
Did iMovie automatically letterbox your 16:9 video? It did for me when I mixed 4:3 and 16:9 in one movie.
Thanks Priestmeister!
I will put a few more pics online when I get some time.
Yeah 16:9 format works OK but transitions are all corrupt, so I have reimprted as 4:3 format and let iMovie do the letterboxing with black panles top and bottom, I dont mind this effect, but is a labour intensive exercise eating into my valuable time.
it does sound like paradise Grechy!
love the pic....you look very pretty.
