Kath's quilting project/s

My darling wife has 2 quilts going on at the moment. And I thought I would like to show you her progress as she goes.

This first piece is one for ourselves, it highlights the many things in our lives, from our animals through to our leisure activities, through to Apple Macintosh, through to coffee drinking.
She has a poem on there too, which I shall put on this blog a bit later on.

This second piece is one for her mother Val, one that highlights the colours that she loves, along with floral patterns too.

For her first attempt at this I reckon she is doing an amazing job, her eye for detail is amazing and her choice in colour is very good.

Hope you enjoy this so far.

I have realised I am obsessed!

I am obsessed with anything Dutch!
I want to go to Amsterdam, to see the vindmillsh, want to buy some clogs, currently eating some Dutch cheese, my wife bought me some Dutch licorice (YUK!) so in return I will buy her some tulips. Watched Goldmember 9 times, tried chocaloate coated antsh (see the dutch accent is coming out in me), I keep saying Shalt instead of salt, which is annoying everyone...ishnt dat veerd!

Anyway better sign of and eat some more Dutch cheese and catch up on my favorite website - www.allthingsdutch.com

Intelitoshes by 2006

All the hype about Apple getting their chips from Intel from 2006! What does it mean, as far as the operating sytem as we know goes and is it going to work with our OSX apps we have all purchased?

I suppose this move is much the same as when they moved from the Motorola chip to PowerPC IBM chip, the Mac really stayed the much the same and many of the applications still functioned much the same. But now Apple is going to an Intel chip, hmmm, I think that it may take a while for the diehard Mac user to get used to this. And lets hope we dont abandon ship yet.

Hey, if it means a better quicker machine then I'm all for it, but if it backfires, then it means the end of Apple, just when it has come out of the doledrums and won market share with the success of the iPod and Panther and early days of Tiger.

05-06 is going to be an interesting time at Appleland.
